The Chesterfield Shop carries City-Size™Seating designed to be proportionally beautiful and fit into smaller spaces. Many of the sides and backs of our seating can be removed and reassembled for impossibly tight fits, we try to accommodate all situations.

Complimentary check-measures are available if there’s any doubt- we will do our best to ensure a “no-fit” doesn’t occur. Ask your Sales Associate for full details.

The Chesterfield Shop opened its original location in Toronto’s Junction exclusively selling sofa-beds. Over the past 7 decades, The Chesterfield Shop is family-owned and operated, and has evolved into 6 wonderful locations in the GTA and Newmarket– and sofa-beds are still our thing. They come in all configurations, in sofas and sectionals, with chaises or as a chair-bed, with mattresses ranging from single and full to queen and king. With easy-to-open contract mechanisms, and a large selection of Posturepedic and gel mattress upgrades, there is a comfortable sleeping option for everyone.

My friend Mary needed a new chair. We came here and she left in tears she was so happy. All the staff were amazing. The ramp at the front is a bit steep (no other options for the store unfortunately) for someone who uses a walker but the staff helped us get in and out with no problem.Mary had a few specific needs but we left with the perfect chair for her. I started my renovations and then started looking for replacement furniture, in particular a 3 seater sofa. My search turned into frustration as I couldn’t find anything that met my standards. I wanted contemporary clean lines with the ability to tailor to my needs.After an exhausting and disappointing search at many well known stores, a friend suggested the Chesterfield Shop.I looked at the web site and didn’t think it had what I would want.I went in today and was greeted ( not ignored like 2 big stores from the US) and asked what I needed and wanted. Vanessa took her time to show me options and within 30 minutes I knew I had found exactly what I had been searching for.Folks they have quality furniture and tons of options. I do recommend that they upgrade their website though.In short check them out you’ll be pleasantly impressed by the service and the sofas/ chesterfields.

Latifa was very knowledgeable and very patient and talked us through how to decide what works best for our space along with all the finishings of the sofa.Delivery is 8 weeks for our particular couch because it is not made ahead of time. After weeks of searching for a modern, stylish, cozy couch that would actually last for years, I was shocked to find one so easily in an affordable price point. We recently purchased a recliner at the mid-town location, and had a terrific experience with Vanessa beginning with a simple phone enquiry, and continuing throughout the entire purchase process. She really went above and beyond, including listening carefully to understand our preferences and constraints, checking for inventory at other stores, sending alternative models that she felt we might be interested in, and actively seeking out floor models that we could actually "sit" in before we ordered. (We had found our initial, preferred style on-line).When she had to be out of town for a couple days, she made sure her colleagues in the store were fully informed regarding the status of our order and purpose for our visit. Dennis met us halfway through the store. Very upbeat, congenial and knows his products very well! I have been a customer here since 1986 and went back for the lvg. rm couch and love seat around 1995 and met Barry. Well, that day I ended up buying 3 more pieces. Dennis told me Barry had passed. A-shame really because he was such a character. Dennis had big shoes to fill but as usual we walked out of the store successful. We had found exactly what we needed after Dennis ran a gamut of products up to the couch we had chosen. He discussed every single detail with us, wrote a detailed bill and made sure we were satisfied with everything we had chosen in a final review.Felt like we had just gone over to see a friend for coffee.
