Seating comfort is unique to each person, and it’s imperative to come in and select your specific piece- if you are tall – we have a deep, firm or down-filled seating, if you are petit, we carry a shallow seat where your feet will touch the floor. We will come and do a “check-measure” for you before your custom order goes in- just to be certain it will fit. We never let a small, urban space stop us from making you feel at home!

We recently purchased two chairs from The Chesterfield shop in Newmarket. Our design consultant, Sepideh Arabzadeh was a pleasure to deal with. She greeted us as we entered the store; asked us what we were shopping for; pointed us in the right direction, then gave us space to browse. She would occasionally check with us to see if we had questions and would offer suggestions. She was also very helpful with picking fabric and a colour for our chairs. We are looking forward to the arrival of our new chairs and would definitely deal with Sepideh in the future.

I had been looking for a new condo sized sofa for quite a while when my daughter and I stopped into The Chesterfield Shop in Newmarket early last year. Jane Baker came over and showed us the different options they had in the store. Almost immediately, I found exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, we had to wait due to ongoing elevator renovations in our condo.

Imagine my delight when I contacted Jane again a week ago and found that, not only did they still have the same model, but there was a bit of a sale going on. I have just come back from Newmarket after placing my order with Jane for the couch as well as a chair to go with it.

Jane was just wonderful to work with; she knows her stuff extremely well and offered me great insight regarding fabric choices. Should we need anything else in future, I would return without hesitation. I highly recommend The Chesterfield Shop, and in particular, Jane Baker.

I bought a Canadian made sectional from this store. Mr. Ryan helped us through the process and he was very professional and knowledgeable. We chose the fabric and design with his recommendation.
I finally received the sectional from the store and it’s absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The delivery drivers were also very professional and kind. They applied felt pads on every sofa legs.

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied from purchasing to delivery. They took care of us like we were a family friend. Anyone looking for a high quality sectionals/sofas for a reasonable price, I would highly recommend this store.

Amazing.... We made our second big purchase with Karen at the Chesterfield Shop who was so great to deal with. In fact, the second time we went "just to look" because it is always a bit more expensive. After comparing the price to the QUALITY we could get elsewhere we had to buy there again. Besides we are so happy with our first purchase we got a couple years ago, that are well used and still looking like new. Also, to be noted we decided to change our delivery instructions and when we called Karen (Twinney) she was totally sweet about it and made it all so simple. We purchased a sectional from the Newmarket location and Karen was very helpful and professional. We received the couch 5 days later and delivery team was wonderful. We called customer service shortly after delivery as we noticed that where the sectional connects it’s off by a few inches. We’re waiting for a call back and We’re hopeful that the service dept will rectify this for us. Will update once we hear back from them.
UPDATE: a lovely gentlemen came out today and aligned the sofa. We are very happy with our purchase and service that we have received. Thank you for the quick action from the service dept and again Karen for her help.

She was nearby to answer any questions and stayed patient with us as we jumped between 3 different options before completing the sale. Update: Just received a call that our sofa would have to be back ordered and wouldn't be available until January or February. Had to cancel the order, and unfortunately, there was no offer of any kind to entice us to remain as customers. Update update: Sepideh reached out to me, and they are trying to rectify the situation. We recently shopped here for the first time while searching for a chair. The store has an execllent inventory of merchandise which was very much aligned with our own tastes.

Good atmosphere, and without a hoard of eager sales people waiting to pounce on you as you enter or follow you around as you shop. Welcoming and relaxed.

We dealt with Jane, who was very knowledgeable and attentive without being pushy. She looked after us in a highly professional but friendly manner, and worked hard to help us understand the products, various fabric options, pricing, and current promotions etc.

We were advised of a ten week delivery on our new chair, so I'll update this review at that time to include how well the store lives up to its commitments.

Overall a very pleasant shopping experience. We expect to return for other items.
